
Samsung has announced that its new Spinpoint M6 mobile 500GB hard drive is shipped. It so happens that the first half-terabyte 2.5-inch hard drive.
The M6 mobile Spinpoint hard drive has been designed to meet the growing need for storage of this notebook, thin form factor for PC users and high-density mobile applications.
According to Andy Higginbotham, director of HDD sales and marketing, Samsung Semiconductor, “Our customers are increasingly demanding notebook for storing their data, video and music files. Our Spinpoint M6 can be easily integrated into laptops without changing the computer chassis, which gives users more energy storage than ever. “
The Spinpoint M6 disk 500 GB has a rotational speed of 5400, 8 MB cache and SATA 3.0Gbps interface with Free-Fall-sensor available as an option.
Perpendicular Magnetic Recording technology enables Highway 500 GB for storing digital images 160000, 125 hours of DVD movies, or 60 hours of high definition video images.
The disc also includes Samsung’s Flying-on-Demand that improves head technology recording stability on the changing temperature ranges.
Samsung Spinpoint M6 mobile new hard drive is composed of three trays 167GB hard drive in a 2.5-inch frame. To top it off, the player is only 9.5 mm high. Thus, it can be easily integrated into new notebook and slimmer. Moreover, integrating the notebooks are now able to support the capacity of up to 1 TB using two disks Samsung Spinpoint M6.
500GB Samsung Spinpoint M6 mobile hard disk drive is now available and costs $ 299.
