
AMD announced its latest graphics card, the ATI Catalyst 8.3. This software update provides two CrossFireX for Windows Vista and ATI Graphics hybrid technology. PC and casual players can expect to get the Ultimate Visual Experience from it!

The ATI CrossFire Hybrid ATI Catalyst 8.3 update, not only increases the performance of the game, but also introduces Hybrid Graphics ATI support for Windows Vista. The new features introduced with the ATI Catalyst 8.3 software update:
- DirectX and 10.1 Tessellation Support: ATI Catalyst 8.3 marks the first time that 10.1 DirectX support for the ATI Radeon 3000 series HD, and tessellation support for the ATI Radeon 3800 HD series were made available developers.
- Anti-Aliasing improvements: ATI Catalyst introduces anti-aliasing support for all Unreal Engine 3.0-based games running in DirectX 9. ATI Catalyst also allows users to activate the filter Anti-Aliasing Filters (box and tries wide) while running in CrossFire Super Anti-Aliasing modes, offering superior image quality
- HydraVision support for Windows Vista: HydraVision support is now included in the ATI Catalyst Control Center for Windows Vista. HydraVision allows users to efficiently organize multiple applications across single or multiple displays. You can configure up to nine virtual desktops, and to divide the Windows desktop Vista helping to define areas easily move and organize numerous applications.
- Digital image scaling GPU Panel: For those who use widescreen displays, ATI Catalyst now allows users to enable the GPU-scale acceleration to maintain the aspect ratio of the screen while offering a superior image quality.
- Quality controls Advanced Video: With ATI Catalyst 8.3, multimedia enthusiasts more control over video quality. Using the new feature edge enhancement, the level of sharpness of video content can be adjusted. Thanks to the new position of noise, ghosting artifacts can be removed while preserving the details of the original video. The new slider controls can be found in the Settings page All Avivo video found in the tab ATI Catalyst Control Center.
