LG.Philips LCD is ready to welcome the New Year 2008 with a line-up of five new panels exciting. The poster will be unveiled at the upcoming CES 2008, to be held in Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), from January 7 to 10, 2008. Here are the key details about each of them:
The brand new 84-inch Multi-multi-vision touch screen LCD Public Displays Interactive was developed by joining four panels of 42 inches in two by two array. Having a screen bezel width of only 15mm, it is 40 per cent below average bezel. In addition, the 84-inch display has also full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 180-degree omnidirectional and an amazing viewing angle of 500 cd/m2 brightness.
LG.Philips LCD 52-inch Multi-Touch Screen for public displays and interactive is the largest screen, and it has the ability to recognize the contributions from either a touch of a finger or more precise writing instruments . With the help of an infrared sensor, users have the ability to recognize the two points of contact and gestures. 90 Hz incorporating a touch response time, 1920 x 1080 resolution Full HD and a transmission rate of the light from 95 to 100 percent, this display seems to be one-of-a-kind.
Next in line is the 47-Inch LCD Triple View, which is apparently one of the largest and highest resolution triple view that the display features Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. Apt to store applications such as directories and advertising at shopping malls, the display includes the ability to reproduce 1.07 billion colors with a brightness of 250 nits. The light of the panel is divided into separate paths, thus showing three completely different images to people standing at different angles to the screen.
The relatively normal 47-inch LCD that uses double-sided one backlight is designed for public displays. The mere fact of only 70 mm thick, the screen is 30 percent thinner than normal models, but its brightness of 500 nits is equal to that of regular panels.
And finally a 42-inch transflective screen is suitable for the outside. Composed of an impressive 1500 cd/m2 luminance outdoors, this screen improves the readability of day, to a great extent. With a transflective technology, LG.Philips LCD has developed a backlight, which greatly improves the viewability of an LCD screen at any time during the day.
