Perhaps even more so than mice, keyboards can be a very personal thing. Once you have found a keyboard you that it is difficult when you have to use another. For example, until the Wave Keys Logitech landed on my desk, I was still using an old Microsoft clackity PS / 2 keyboard and he liked to madness. Just recently, one of our former employees have asked his old favorite keyboard, which was buried in one of our closets without substance, delivered to him in Taiwan.

Sentimental, it can be, but a good keyboard is like a pair of comfortable shoes, a little worn but still very familiar and reassuring. Yet, despite this sharp British love of the underdog, there are a lot of very decent modern takes on the keyboard, and Logitech has long been a major supplier of all sorts of peripherals, including keyboards.

Available for about £ 30, the Wave keyboard is not the most compact desktop keyboard that you may find, about 48cm in diameter and 26cm deep offshore and deepest points - making it unsuitable for anyone short on space. Its size, however, does not mean that packs in a fair amount next to the full-size keyboard and numeric keypad.

Just above the keypad is a power button and the button shortcut calculator, just above the main keyboard media is a set of controls and shortcuts for Media Player, Media Center, and the photo gallery. Finally, on the left side are quick control keys zoom in programs and imaging Vista’s Flip 3D function. If this were not enough, there are even more shortcuts to set function keys, which can be accessed by a notebook style Fn key on the bottom row of keys.

So far, so ordinary, but the waves are not only the usual assortment of shortcut keys. Logitech also made an attempt to disturb make it as comfortable as possible to use: a fact which is reflected in almost every aspect of the design, the shape, size and feel of the keys and the height and angle keyboard.

As such, you can choose between three different levels angles, four or eight degrees or completely flat, by switching between different segments. Vitale, for all its comforting features, the keyboard itself is simply very good. If you are accustomed to the old style keyboards, it may seem alien at first. This, and the ergonomic design and tuning, the results in the remaining keyboard comfortable to use over long periods of time, while the construction is realistic and should be able to endure a long and hard life.

If one has a single peak of the wave of criticism, but it might be its appearance. Its size has already been noted, and there is no problem with its subtle shades of black, but the shortcut somewhat fragmented, and the keys to control the media, giving it an almost childlike air - “My first keyboard” if you want. It’s something that you get more quickly once you come to use and enjoy the feeling of quality and comfort, but it nevertheless seems odd considering the otherwise elegant exterior.

Ultimately, it is a very good keyboard. No breakthrough in any great sense, but rather examined and implemented and available at a price that makes buying a comfortable and easy-to-use keyboard in the budget for each. So, if you have been holding on an old favorite for too long now, it may be the tonic.

Verdict

Although slightly larger and larger, the Logitech keyboard Wave has been set up and makes typing for long periods without effort comfortable at a price that will not break the bank.
