Axiotron upmarket style slate Modbook, winner of the 2007 Macworld Expo Best of Show Award, is now available for the new year. The Modbook is described as the first fully functional Apple Authorized Mac tablet solution, and this is the ONLY Mac-based tablet computer on the market. The graphic artists and designers will appreciate the strengthening of the writing and drawing on the screen on the functionality Modbook using state-of-the-art digital pen-sensitive Wacom slate-style LCD display. Wacom scanner technology offers 512 levels of pressure sensitivity, which should allow a rapid, accurate and intuitive user experience.

Modbook is pre-installed with Mac OS X Leopard, OS X and integrated in the software handwriting recognition Inkwell. You will have a choice of 2.0 GHz or 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and each model is equipped with a built-in iSight camera and a 24x DVD Combo integrated 8x DVD drive or SuperDrive. Modbooks also feature a wide angle of 13.3 “widescreen display, built-in GPS, and a durable shell, and inside display built quality from an aircraft magnesium alloy.

At a price of $ 2290, Modbook is available in the United States and Canada exclusively through authorized resellers Axiotron, and will be presented at the upcoming Macworld Expo 2008.
