MSI has been quite cagey about revealing some details of the wind sub-notebook, but that does not matter because e-Tailer Expansys has established the system for pre-order. In doing so, the final features of wind were close enough confirmed, we must take a Gander.
We know that a processor at 1.6 GHz is on board, which we all know now Atom is a chip (albeit unofficially), 1GB of RAM and 80 GB hard drives are in the spotlight. A 10in, 1024 x 600 pixels, the screen is beside the Bluetooth connectivity and a 1.3 megapixel camera. Options color, at least on Expansys, are now black, white and pink - the latter being my choice of courses… ahem.
Linux or Windows XP Home can be chosen as the wind operating system, which reflects in the price. A Windows Wind you will return £ 349.95 while Linux is a wind at a price of £ 319.95. Who sits well in line with the £ 320 Asus Eee PC 900 launched a few weeks ago, so it seems reasonable to assume Expansys is money (pun unintentional), with these figures.
We’ll know with certainty when the wind starts next month.
