Now Playstation owners will soon be able to download full games on consoles, handheld Nintendo DS. This interesting bit of news was revealed by Nintendo of America, the President and Chief Operating Officer Reggie Fils-Aime in a recent interview with The New York Times.

“To drive aggressively DS company we need to provide other forms of entertainment, to the delight of consumers.” Fils-Aime said, adding that future devices Ds will be more closely integrated into the Wii console.

We know that complete sets, as well as demos for the Nintendo DS will be available for downloading on the Wii using the console broadband connection, which can then be transferred wirelessly to the DS handheld console games.

It was also revealed that the new puzzles for the next “Professor Layton ‘puzzle game on the DS wireless can be downloaded from the DS on Wii as the medium. This game will be released in February 2007 in the United States.

In addition, Nintendo also plans to add functionality, like Japan’s Nintendo Everybody Channel and the upcoming MLB DS cooperative.
