Samsung develops World’s First Ultra-Thin 31-Inch Screen AMOLED

Electronics giant Samsung has unveiled a 31-inch active-matrix organic light-emitting diode, more commonly known simply AMOLED, screen.

With this, Samsung receives the distinction of being the first manufacturer to develop such a large display screen AMOLED.

AMOLEDs produce light when electricity is applied to organic matter. This helps to generate images bright and clear from the normal liquid crystal displays (LCD) and billboards plasma (PDP).

The latest 31-inch Samsung TV developed from the new AMOLED display will be presented at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Before that, Samsung 27-inch screen AMOLED has been the largest in this category.
