Sharp AQUOS budget range of LCD TVs impressed us at the beginning of last year, specifically the LC-32GD8E. Now is the time for a new range of products to take place under cover of the mantle of the series AQUOS D44E - not represented below, despite what one might assume.
The LC-26D44E, 32D44E-LC and LC-37D44E offer (as the name suggests) 26in, 32in and 37in panels respectively. The three pack HD-ready, 1366 x 768 resolution and contrast 10000:1 - a figure almost certainly dynamic.
Image Processing is set to be improved and there is an ambient light sensor which tweak settings screen, such as brightness, automatically attempt to offer a better picture. Sharp is also introducing a new freeze-frame option which, for want of a better term, “freeze” of the TV screen temporarily, even if the difference in playback is paused on Sky +, scene will not continue from that point when you resume.
As expected the usual array of connections are presented, including SCART, component and HDMI, the more there is a TNT integrated with the usual EPG access. In terms of pricing models 26in and 32in bring buyers back £ 499 and £ 599, respectively, and both are expected to hit stores in late March. The 37in arrive in June for an undisclosed price currently.
