Sony’s latest thin range of TVs may not be svelte by Hitachi 1.5 standards, but at a mere 7.4 centimetres thick, they’re hardly podgy. Dubbed the F-series the new sets aren’t just impressively thin either, but also offer a decent array of specs and features to back up the stylish looks.
Three different panels are available with 46in and 40in models offering a Full HD, 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, while a 32in model comes with a lower 1,366 x 768 pixels. Elsewhere all the specs are the same: a 3,000:1 Contrast ratio, 100Hz Motion Flow modes and 24p playback. A 2.4GHz wireless remote is included, negating the need to point at the screen - a small, but rather cool detail.
