The SyncMaster 305T good results in our tests of image quality, text net and showing nuanced color. Jury members were impressed by the 305T rendering text in a Microsoft Word document, as well as a screen to repeat E & M’s.
The 305T has shown a couple of color photos that seemed somewhat muted in comparison with the other displays in the test group, but the color representation seemed good on the whole.
The SyncMaster has a smooth black bezel, and a circular booth. It tilts and swivels easily, although it is not adjustable in height, and there is no pivot. It is wall-mountable.
The only control, it must adjust the display is one for brightness - buttons on the front bezel of the increase and decrease screen brightness, and that’s all. Currently no elements on the screen are available to support the 305T of the high resolution of 2560 x 1600, but Samsung said that future versions of this model should include an on-screen display for the adjustments.
Two USB ports downstream to stay on the back of the screen. Samsung also includes a power saving mode - this monitor switches to a low-power state, although it has not been used for some time.
At $ 1800, the SyncMaster is certainly expensive, but it falls well within the range of what other LCDs 30 inches cost. If you are looking for a monitor on which to disperse and to see many documents at once, the 305T is a very good choice.
